I just finally got through all the pictures I took on Thursday of my brother and soon to be sis-in-law. So here are a few more favorites! Hopefully they will have many that they like to choose from! :)

The Morris/Shogren Engagement

I had the great pleasure of photographing my big brother and soon to be sister-in-laws wedding invitation pictures. This was my very first "official" photo shoot (you know besides doing my own children!) So it was a great opportunity for me to practice and to also use my brand new lens that I had been dying to try out! I think we got some great shots of them together and I hope I was able to capture the love that they feel for eachother. Here are some of my favorites so far (and I still haven't gone through them all yet...so I will share more later as I go along). Enjoy...and we wish Chris and Melissa nothing but the best!

Wow...

I've really been slacking with my photography blog haven't I! I'm hoping that will start to change soon. To see the pictures that I have been taking lately go and check out my family blog . I will try to start uploading pictures on this blog as well and also when I start doing photo shoots of children/families besides mine I will upload some of those pictures as a preview on this blog. Here is a picture I took a few weeks ago. It is definitely one of my favs!

I've been a huge slacker!!

I have been horrible at updating! And it's not like I haven't been taking any pictures too! So I will have to get with the program and start flooding this place with pictures! You might remember a previous post with pictures of my youngest son wearing a cute t-shirt that I had won? Well she decided to use one of my pictures on her etsy store! I still haven't officially taken off on my photography just yet. I'm thinking of doing a long distance photography class, but it is pretty pricey and have to figure out a way to do it. I might be doing a photo shoot soon for my brother, his girlfriend and her son. So we'll see how that goes, it will pretty much be my first official photo shoot!

I won this adorable little shirt in a contest. The maker of this cute shirt has an etsy store and sells all sorts of onesies and shirts with a variety of pictures. After I recieved the shirt this weekend I shot off an email to her to thank her for it and sent this picture along with it. She than asked me if she could use the pictures in her etsy shop and I of couse said yes. They are not the greatest pictures of him, he would not stay still long enough for me to get a really good shot...he was too busy exploring the outdoors! What to wear....

I know I have a hard time trying to decide what everyone is going to wear when I take my childrens' pictures (it's especially tough when you have to coordinate 5 children!) Well I came across this on one of the blogs I like to peruse and I think some of you will find it very helpful (and please do check out the Sugar Photography Blog...I absolutely love her work! She's definitely an inspiration to me and I hope I become half the photographer she is!)
